Nice Fish Tickets
It’s the last day of ice fishing season and a couple of old college friends: Erik and Ron reside in the remote North Woods of Minnesota. It’s the perfect excuse to go on the ice and pass some time waxing poetic on life, mortality, aging, and the Romantic nature of the Upper Midwest, while crushing a few Labatt’s to stay hydrated.
Nice Fish was developed by notable clown, film actor, and first Artistic Director of the New Globe Theater in London: Mark Rylance, using text borrowed from Louis Jenkins, a Minnesota-based prose poet, at the Guthrie Theater in 2013.
Directed by Resident Artist Stephen Oberhardt, Nice Fish is the third production in our Studio Series – scaled-back productions outside the regular Resident Theatre season that let our artists experiment with new ways of working. Join us for these intimate plays that take us back to fundamentals: an empty space, actors, and a story to tell.
